I am in love with this mix Ryan Hemsworth made for Fader. It is so fucking chill and unique. For example, he puts a Broken Social Scene – Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl remix next to a Wacka Flacka – Bustin’ at em remix…and it actually works! This guy is without a doubt someone to watch out for.

Bloc Party – Octopus
I’m happy to see Bloc Party back at it. I’ve been a fan since early high school, and their live show is still one of my favorites to date. You can expect the new album in September, which I’ll be looking out for, if this new single is any indication. The guitar riffs and song structure are bringing me back to Silent Alarm–early Bloc Party, which is great.

The xx have been touring around Europe, and today the internet is buzzing over some (frankly, mediocore) Youtube concert recordings of new music by them. This one here, titled “Strangers” is definitely my favorite of the 4-5 new songs. It’s a little over 7 minutes long. SO looking forward to the new album (set to release sometime this year) by one of my current favorite bands.
